Diving Beneath Typhoons…
DM Konni: Discovering great dive sites off Siquijor Island with the professional support from PADI instructors Jay and Barry from Sea Pearl Divers San Juan +639176952985: (i) very impressive u/w mountains with plenty of colourful fish, big and small, (ii) steep u/w walls with an abundance of corals, soft and hard, and (iii) unspoilt fringing reefs, preserved in well-managed Marine Sanctuaries.

“One cannot discover new oceans
unless one has the courage to lose sight of the shore.”

DM Konni: Chillaxing on the picture-perfect, palm-tree fringed tropical beach of The Bruce Holiday Resort +639286011856 at Solangon on Siquijor Island for the second time this year (see: 26 Feb - 06 May 2014 Siquijor), working on my tan, swimming in the crystal-clear water of the luke-warm Mindanao Sea (…or the resort’s sparkling pool), entertaining my friend Silvia from Germany and dodging successfully two wild typhoons (Hagupit and Jangmi) which hit the Visayas just in time.

“Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
It's about learning to dance in the rain.”

DM Konni: Coaching my friend Silvia to take the plunge and to become a certified PADI Open Water Diver with Sea Pearl Divers +639176952985, using their spick-and-span, brand-new and professionally maintained equipment and sharing together the u/w fun during many leisurely dives in the enchanting u/w world of the Philippines; thank you, Silvia, and thank you, Jay and Barry for being great buddies!

DM Konni: Maintaining a strong digital, long-distance relationship with non-diver Matt who recuperates in Goa from the travails of life on the Nepalese ([1], [2], [3]) and Northern Indian road ([1], [2], [3]) and contributes his share to u/w photography during the otherwise not-so dry Goan Carnival.

For Raoni, Tien and Ronja:
From the Philippines, with Love!
“There's always another storm. It's the way the world works. Snowstorms, rainstorms, windstorms, sandstorms, and firestorms. Some are fierce and others are small. You have to deal with each one separately, but you need to keep an eye on whats brewing for tomorrow.”
